Morphology:
Adult:
 - Patrus garuda is most similar to P. landaisi but can be distinguished by P. garuda has the rounded elytral apices and aedeagus with the median lobe more strongly tapered towards the apex, which is more strongly acuminate. The female of P. garuda and P. salvazai can be distinguished from each other by having elytral glabrous region “nycteriform” (batwing-shaped) in P. garuda.

Habitat: - Patrus garuda is currently only known from two high-elevation waterfalls and associated streams within Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.

Distribution:
 - Chiang Mai Province: Doi Inthanon National Park., Siriphum Waterfall and Huai Sai Luang Waterfall.
