Morphology:
Adult:
 - Patrus phetchabunensis is most similar to P. salvazai but can be distinguished by P. phetchabuensis has the protibial constriction limited to the basal 2/5, the shape of the cordiform glabrous region in males is relatively wider anteriorly near the humeral region than that of P. salvazai, and the aedeagus with median lobe evenly tapered. Females of both species can be distinguished by P. phetchabunensis has the elytral apex obliquely truncated rather than rounded as P. salvazai.
