วงศ์ Bosminidae
Bosminidae is a small family comprising of two genera, viz. Bosmina and Bosminopsis. Cladocerans of this family are typically planktonic, commonly found in lakes and ponds. The majority of Bosminopsis are found in shallow waters. Bosminid body is enclosed in a carapace. Antennules fused with the rostrum, forming a spike-like structure. An eye is present without an ocellus. The headshield has three types of pores. The antennae are rather short, antennae biramous, endopodite has three segments, five setae, and exopodite have three segments, three setae. They have six pairs of thoracic limbs, sixth one small and naked lobe (Maiphae, 2014; Tiang-nga, 2019).
