วงศ์ Sididae

Sidids are generally recognized by a large head without a headsheild. Antennules are short and movable. Antenna large and have long setae, along with all or part of the valve margin, antenna have two branches, endopodite has 2–3 segments, and exopodite has three segments. Six pairs of thoracic limbs. Latonopsis and Pseudosida are likely to be a littoral inhabitant. Diaphonasoma is a planktonic species inhabiting open water, while Sida is distributed in littoral zones associated with vegetation (Korovchinsky, 1992; Tiang-nga, 2019).
